Gold for Castle Cars at 2025 Professional Driver QSi Awards

Castle Cars wins QSi Award in the UK’s only national awards for the private hire, taxi and chauffeur sector

Tonbridge-based company takes Gold in the Private Hire Operator of the Year (1-80 vehicles) category

A night to remember for Britain’s chauffeur, taxi and private hire industry

Tonbridge-based Castle Cars has won the Gold Award in the Private Hire Operator of the Year (1-80 vehicles) category of the prestigious 2025 Professional Driver QSi Awards.

Professional Driver Editor Mark Bursa said: “Castle Cars is in many ways the benchmark for how to run a local taxi service. Its dedication to its local community means it consistently records five-star reviews – and anything less than five is personally followed up by the owner. The company won this award in 2021, and they’ve won it again – a week after the company’s 30th birthday.”

Professional Driver magazine’s QSi Awards ceremony was a night to remember for the cream of Britain’s chauffeur and private hire operators. The awards, open to every chauffeur and private hire company in the UK, are designed to recognise operators and individuals that demonstrate excellent standards of Quality, Service and Innovation.

Gold, Silver and Bronze awards were presented in 11 categories at a thrilling event, held at the Hilton Metropole Hotel in Brighton last week (Thursday, January 16, 2025).

The 11 categories mean there’s something for every size and type of operator, from one-man bands to large fleets. Categories also reward innovations in marketing, environmental performance and local community activities, while a special award – Professional Driver of the Year – singles out a chauffeur or private hire driver who is judged to be the best in the UK.

Mark Bursa said: “The private hire, taxi and chauffeur industry makes an enormous contribution to keeping Britain moving. This year’s Professional Driver QSi Awards recognise those amazing efforts and bring the industry together for a much-needed night of celebration.”

Mark Bursa continued: “The quality and number of the entries grows every year, and it becomes an ever-more difficult task for our judges to pick our winners. Only very good operators made the short list, so we can be sure our Gold, Silver and Bronze winners are among the very best in Britain.”

Professional Driver magazine is the national publication for the UK’s chauffeur, private hire and taxi industry. The QSi Awards were launched in 2013 as the first and only national awards for the industry. For more details, visit www.prodrivermags.com
